Risk Based Maintenance: when it suits you, not when you have to
Risk Based Maintenance (RBM) from Acres International delivers solutions that go far beyond what is expected of traditional consulting services.

Risk Based MaintenanceTo ensure that RBM meets the real needs of an organization, our teams work at all levels from senior management to line workers. Each implementation team consists of experienced maintenance management project engineers, technologists, and highly skilled electrical and mechanical maintenance specialists. In addition to extensive personal experience in a wide range of industry sectors, our position within the Acres group enables us to draw on the experience of academic and industrial maintenance specialists.

What to expect from an Acres RBM consultation

  • detailed inventory of all process equipment

  • risk analysis of process equipment in terms of effect on operations, health and safety

  • maintenance regimen development to mitigate risks using an appropriate blend of preventive, detective and condition-based maintenance tasks

  • streamlined work management processes to efficiently manage maintenance

  • integration and scheduling of maintenance procedures into the client's Computerized Maintenance Management System (we work with all CMMS platforms)

  • mentoring of management and trades staff in work management techniques
  • Over the last four years RBM projects have been completed at West Kootenay Power in British Columbia, at engineered forest product facilities in New Brunswick and New York State, and at over 400 locations in Ontario.

As part of our risk-based approach to maintenance, Acres is available to provide organizations with a rapid evaluation (typically 7-10 days) of their maintenance management capabilities and the potential for improvement. Many clients have used the maintenance audit process in due diligence studies and to provide their senior management with an independent view of the organization's effectiveness.
