New name, new future Acres Productive Technologies, better known as APT, is now Synexus Global Incorporated. Why the change? Read a little of the company's history, and you'll understand.

The concept which drove APT was born over ten years ago in the Power and Water Resources Division of Acres International. On behalf of hydropower generators in Canada and the US we developed and implemented computer-based support systems for decision-making, in management and operations. The commercial potential of the first systems was clear, and Acres formed APT as a subsidiary company to run with the idea. APT established four profit centers, each taking responsibility for development and application of the original concept to selected business sectors and innovative methods of delivery.

It took nearly ten years of hard work to make the big breakthrough with Vista DSS. With over 20 installations in North America, among them one of the continent's largest hydro generation networks, and our first overseas clients in China, Indonesia and Central and South America, it was clearly time to start thinking globally.

We realized that we could market our products and our reputation more effectively if our name could be recognized and understood in every country of the world without the need for translation.

Synexus Global was our choice. It conveys the company's ability to combine technologies to achieve specific performance targets for users.

So that's it. From now on we will be Synexus Global. Everything that APT ever was, with the promise of a great deal more.
