Protecting Winnipeg
We have been involved with the Red River Floodway since designing the original Seine River inverted syphon, and the inlet and outlet works in the early 1960s. After the ‘Flood of the Century’ in 1997, the Manitoba Floodway Authority was established to oversee a major expansion. Now we are part of a consortium of firms responsible for detailed design and construction administration work that will more than double channel capacity and increase Winnipeg’s flood protection.
