New Central Utility Plant at Pearson International Airport

The Acres Parsons Brinkerhoff-Joint Venture is designing a new central utilities plant at Lester B. Pearson International Airport for the Greater Toronto Airports Authority. This project entailed design and installation of new hot and chilled water utilities. The work encompassed cogeneration and thermal storage studies, conceptual designs and layouts, detailed engineering, specification of all equipment and procurement and construction support. The team provided field support for the startup of the new system.

GTAA is the not-for-profit, private corporation, which oversees operation and development at Pearson Airport. LBPIA, the world's 25th largest, is the main gateway to Canada, handling 28 million passengers per year and contributing $11.5 billion to the regional economy.
