Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station is a 635-MW unit commissioned in 1983 and was the first CANDU-6 to begin commercial operation. The C$1.4 billion refurbishment project will be implemented from April 2008 through October 2009.

Hatch – Sargent & Lundy is providing a comprehensive engineering assessment of the overall execution of the refurbishment project and apprises NB Power’s Board of Directors of key findings and issues on a quarterly basis.
