Hatch Energy conducted an environmental assessment a 3-MW hydroelectric project at Eighty Foot Falls on the Misema River in northern Ontario. The work included engineering and environmental screening plus all environmental permitting to meet federal and provincial regulatory requirements.

This run-of-river project has a small headpond behind a weir and an adjacent intake structure divest water via a buried penstock to the powerhouse at the base of the falls. A 1-km wood pole transmission line connects the powerhouse to an existing line.
