In parallel with engineering services for the same project, Hatch Energy also provided consulting services in support of an application for a water licence required by a runner upgrade at the 128.9-MW Brilliant generating station, near Castlegar, British Columbia.

The work included a full technical description of the project, with presentation materials; an analysis of the physical impact of the new runner on operations at the site and on fish populations; and preparation of a consolidated impact assessment document to accompany the licence application.
