The Seymour Reservoir supplies water to Greater Vancouver, British Columbia. It is impounded by a 30-m earthfill and concrete dam. Hatch Energy calculated the extent of a Maximum Credible Earthquake at the site, employed detailed finite element analyses to predict its effect on the concrete section of the dam, and developed detailed engineering proposals for upgrade works. Also included in the project was an environmental impact assessment and recommendations for mitigation following completion of the field work and construction.
