Hatch Energy works cooperatively with funding organizations to develop programs that maximize available savings and deliver excellent returns for the investment. These programs can identify savings of between $3 and $35 for each dollar invested. The Hatch Energy programs assist sites to develop their energy management strategies and encourages them to implement defined action plans.
Hatch Energy works with utilities, state and provincial agencies and other funding entities to design programs that provide energy management support to a broad range of organizations across the jurisdiction, often using multiple funding sources. For example, a recent electricity utility also accessed funds from the gas utility and the Federal Government, thus minimizing the cost to the utility, while maximizing the access to services.
Our approach can be customized to meet the needs of the Program Supporter. The approach includes:
- Evaluation of energy management practices
- Identification of energy and cost savings opportunities
- Conducting of an on-site opportunity assessment workshop
- Analysis and evaluation of savings opportunities
- Development of a practical Energy Management Action Plan
- Implementation support and coaching
- Training and development
- Savings verification
- Review and enhancement of energy plans for future implementation.
The program develops the capability of the site energy team to enable them to take control of their energy use and establish an effective energy management program. This results in a high degree of confidence that the savings identified during the program will be retained.
