HydroVantage's web version has been financianlly supported by CANARIE E-business Program. The goal of this program is to is to help Canadian industry become more competitive through assisting organizations, especially small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), to develop and deploy E- business strategies and applications.
The objective of HydroVantage web-based project is to provide the hydro-electric industry with a readily accessible and user-friendly investment decision support system. This unique product will ensure:
- global availability of the HydroVantage model and methodology
- continuous update of data on which the model is based
- world-wide access to equipment failure information.
HydroVantage web version has been beta-tested by users since August 2002. The full version is available through the Internet.
CANARIE Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation supported by the Federal government, its members, and project partners and funded primarily by Industry Canada. Its mission is to accelerate the development and use of Canada's advanced Internet by facilitating the widespread adoption of faster, more efficient networks and by stimulating the development of new, next generation products, applications and services. Following a $110 million funding agreement with Industry Canada, Canarie. Inc. designed, developed and is operating CA*net 4, Canada's National Research and Innovation Network. |
